Luck...I finally finished my project and I love it! Luckily, curtains cover some of the problem areas! One thing I would suggest to anyone starting this project is to buy ALL the burlap you need at once, if possible. I went back three times and each time the cut came from a new bolt and each one had a slight color variation. My husband swears you can't tell if you aren't looking, but I know! However, I was not about to start tearing down what I'd already invested so much time into. Also, be extra careful around windows. With the stretching, correct measuring becomes tricky, especially if you want to avoid any seams.

Thanks so much, Kara, for this amazing inspiration!!!Sarahnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8491721722202151391.post-29712745909864643122010-08-23T07:32:53.206-05:002010-08-23T07:32:53.206-05:00I love this! I didn't wash mine first but wish I had...lots of fuzz. You could use fabric starch to "glue" it to the wall like a wallpaper. I think that might actually be easier but if you do use a simple stapler be sure to pull very tight it will be saggy if you don't. This really is a great easy look. Please send me a pic if you do your walls.
Karakottagekarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10255326921019651002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8491721722202151391.post-79368467684110737462010-08-11T07:59:26.982-05:002010-08-11T07:59:26.982-05:00Anony #1-- I have had no issues with the smell.
